Lawyers, doctors, airline pilots - tell someone you're one of these and they'll immediately think of how much money those jobs are paid. Tell them you're a personal trainer, though, and they'll wonder if you couldn't be making more money working a fast food job.
It hurts because it's the truth. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average fitness professional works long, hard hours to make a mere thirty-five thousand dollars a year. In some parts of the country, that’s not a lot of go-out-and-have-fun money. In fact, in many big cities, that income isn’t even enough for a decent house and instant noodles every night.
But there is good news.
Thirty-five thousand dollars a year is only the average salary - an average salary for average personal trainers. But do you think you're "average"?
